Translator Week 10

Hi, I'm Marta and this week I have been the translator so here there are the most important words for us in this work:

Elections: We understand by elections the process by which a person with different aspirations, concerns, or motivations can be chosen by the rest of the population as a representative of what is desired. In our case, the elections were carried out by each one of the leaders of our group, being able to express their ideas and their reasons why they should be chosen as directors of a school.

Authoritatian leadership:  This type of leadership has not been used by any of us in our exhibitions since it consists of the total authority of the manager without taking into account the opinions of the employees. One of the positive aspects of this leadership is the speed of decision making, because it avoids discussions about why and how to do things, but the negative part is the lack of ideas that another person can contribute. The leader does not take into account The opinion of the other participants and insists on doing everything himself.

Participative leadership: In our case, this type of leadership has been the one we have used for this work since we think it is the best result you could have when making a decision. The leader takes into account the opinion of the other participants although the final decision has the, includes in their projects the ideas shown by others in order to achieve the best result. It is based on cooperation among all members and can also be called democratic leadership.

Transformational leadership: This type of leadership is based on predetermined agreements between the leader and the other team members. They agree when it comes to following the leader's instructions, which makes it very clear that the ultimate goal of the task is total success and that those who achieve it will receive previously agreed rewards or gratifications. In the same way, members who do not meet the expected expectations will be sanctioned for this.

Transactional leadership: Is a leader with such a high level of motivation and energy that he is able to bring this to maximum levels; Thus achieving greater participation and collaboration of the members of their team and at the same time achieving their objectives are more than fulfilled.

Analyst - Week 9 -

Hi everyone!  I'm Marta and this week I've been playing an analyst again.

This task has been very difficult to do, it has not been our best week but I have to say that we have worked like no other.

To begin with, I have to say that my group has been very well integrated and each and every component has put everything on its side to make it work. I also have to say that on the day of the presentation, our video was not well resolved and we could not expose it to other groups. The good part of this is that the teacher gave us the option to be able to improve it and is finally finished.

The good part of this work has been the time we spent with each other, since most of the time living each other away from another we could not stay, and with this work was an obligation. We laughed a lot and we were all very participative.

The negative part of this work is certainly the short time to do such a long and hard work. At first we were overwhelmed as we were going to translate the ideas into the video and make it clear. We stayed until very late with this work, and another one of the bad parts was the time to edit the video, there was no way, and as I mentioned before things did not go well.

As for the positives of my team, especially in this work is the energy and the desire with which they continue even knowing that things go wrong, positivity and constancy until arriving at the result that we want to obtain.
One of the bad parts of this work has been the small disputes that we had in creating the story that reflected the ideas that we had to express besides the misunderstandings editing the videos.

Finally I have to say that another of the good things I have learned from this work is to use programs to edit videos and how  the so-called stop motion can help you understand specific issues and as is our case the issue of education . This way learning is easier and fun.

Journalist - Week 9 -

Hi everyone! I'm Andrea and this week I've been the journalist of my group. So let's see what we have done this week!
On Monday, Linda explained to us what we had to do: a stop motion video to show the 10 main ideas that show that it is possible to reach an ideal education in public schools.
That day we met at the university and we started thinking about how we could put the 10 ideas in a single video. Finally we decided to create a history about ''the world's best teacher''. Then, we started taking pictures.

On Tuesday, we carried on taking pictures and at we started editing the video. We had a lot of problems, because our laptops couldn't support the software. At night, when we've finished the video, the program we were using stopped working. We had to create quickly a kind of ''stop motion'' video, but it was terrible.

On Wednesday, we explained Linda what happened, so she told us to create the video again for Friday. But we saw our mates' videos and the teacher made a kind of ''Eurovision'' contest.

Curator-farmer - Week 9 -

Hi everyone! I'm Lucy and in this week I had to be the Courator-Farmer. So here are the links we used (to see them click on the following link, please):

Star - Week 9 -

Hello everyone!
My name is Paula and this week I have been the star of my group.
This week's task consisted of a stop motion in which the ten main ideas of the decalogue had to appear and should last for a maximum of 4 minutes without counting the title and the credits, on Wednesday the groups had to present it to the rest of the partners of the class through a Eurovision-style contest. This means that one by one each group presented their stop motion and was visualized. During the presentations, the star of each group had to be punctuating the video of the group indicated, making a rubric in which had to take into account several aspects, originality, presentation, if understood and what we had thought, since at the end of presenting all the works should be given a score just like in the Eurovision contest, that means, from lowest to highest score: 4,5,6,7,8,10 and 12 points.
Later the star of each group proceeded to announce the scores and Linda wrote it down on the board, so that we could all see it. Finally, after adding all the scores was announced to the winning group, Spacer 2.0! On Wednesday unfortunately our group was unable to present the task because due to technical problems the job was lost and it was impossible to recover it, which is why it had to be re-performed. We hope you like this week's task!

Facilitator - Week 9 -

Hello to everybody! I am Ana and this 9th week I have been in charge of the facilitator role. This week we had to do to make a video in stop-motion format, which had to explain the decalogue for a new educational law in Spain. In the first place, each member of the group began to read an idea of the decalogue and from there and took the main idea that had to represent in the video. On Monday afternoon, we stayed in the faculty, we made history to each one we were occurring different ideas, then we made the clothes to all the dolls and prepared everything that we needed and we began to take photos. On Tuesday afternoon, we worked very hard we were in the faculty from the 3 p.m.to the 9p.m., we made all the photos, we chose the music and we tried to mount the video but we couldn’t. I think that the organization of this week has improved because we have work all together, although being the facilitator hasn’t been easy because all the members were very stressed out.

Then a member of the group took it to his house and was all night trying to do it, but when he finally had it done the computer gave an error. Wednesday, we were very stressed because we didn’t have the video but we talked to Linda and she understood, and she told us that we could upload it on Friday even though we could not participate in the Eurovision contest. Finally, after many attempts we made the video.

This task has been the most difficult of all we have done until now, because it was only two afternoons to do all the work, we worked very hard and we were very stressed because of the short time we had.

Translator - Week 9 -

Hello I am Mónica and this week I am the translator of my group. The five concepts most important that we have learn in this task are:

1.STOP-MOTION:

Stop-motion is a type of video that is made with a series of images. These images can be from people, cartoons or even draw by people. The images are passing very fast so, it looks like if the images had movement.

2.DECALOGUE

A decalogue is a set of 10 rules that must be met. In this case,10 rules related to a good educational plan.

3.VIDEOPAD

Videopad is a program where you can make and edit videos, and make transitions between images. We have used this video editor to do our stop-motion.

4.YOUTUBE

Youtube is a page where people can share videos about different topics. And in this way, this page facilitates the search for something.

5.EUROVISION

Eurovision is a music competition in which the majority of the countries of the world participate. All the countries have a representative who sings a song and the rest of the countries must rate the performances.
