Star - Week 5 -

Hi everyone, I am Pepe and in this fifth week I have been the star of my group. It has been very exciting for me preparing this role because of the fact of the responsibility which it involves. Although to be honest, I have been very nervous as soon as I knew that I would have to perform this role, but I could do nothing but face up with the best possible attitude.

I had to prepare myself to talk about the disadvantages or downsides of the use of textbooks inside the classroom. I was encouraged by the members of my group to trust myself while I was studying the content, and indeed I felt their support.

It was the first time for me that I had to speak in an activity in english, never before I had done it, except of the day of the presentation of my group. Therefore I felt very scared and I would have liked feeling more confortable, but I can not blame myself for that.  At the end the activity was developed very well, and the other mates from the different groups had an active participation during the whole activity.

To my mind, the treated subject throughout this week has been very interesting, it has lots of things to reflect about. We as undergraduate teachers must know the limitations/disadvantages of the textbook, one tool which has been used in the classrooms for so long time in education. 

In recent years the society is evolving quickly, we live in a technological age. Wether we like it or not, education is also affected by this fact, and we as a teachers can not resign ourselves to use as an only tool the textbooks, but we must search, investigate, keep up with the best resources and aids and implement them inside the classroom, in order to meet our students' needs and interests.
